Riverlife '08 (pt.3)

I have been pretty busy lately and I have had issues with the church network so I have not posted. Back to the adventure. The adventure God is calling us to can only be experienced by taking some leaps of faith. I believe God is asking us to believe Big!! Examine your life, evaluate your situations, and then choose to elevate your living. What is God asking you to do? What gifts and abilities has God placed within your life? What is the best case scenario for your life? The Lord has a plan for our lives but it is only through faith that we can accomplish all He desires for us. The challenge now is for us to find one thing we are passionate about, Begin to apply our gifts and abilities toward this goal, and then envision the outcome that could happen with Christ empowering every effort!! C'mon join me and together with Christ let's take a leap of faith.

Until the other side of the leap....

Riverlife '08 (pt.2)

Get into an adventure with the Word of God. Some people believe the word is boring, just a bunch of rules, and history. I think they are out of their minds! The word is a radical revelation of a God that is a creator, warrior, King, an adventurer! Think about it, God created this earth. There is nothing timid or boring about our world. It is full of mountains to climb, jungles to journey through, deserts to survive, rivers to ride! The greatest thing about God and His Word is the gift of His son, Jesus. Christ is an amazing adventurer who ultimately gave His life for our sins. Also, the Word gives us a glimpse of who we can become through Christ! Wow! In the word we find stories that would make soap stars blush, Rambo to be amazed, and even would make Chuck Norris intimidated. What are you waiting for? Dive into the Word of God, and join with me, for an adventure of a lifetime!

Riverlife '08

I am making a renewed commitment to blogging my thoughts, vision, and discussion opportunities this year. The discipline of writing my thoughts is not a strength of mine so I need your support, prayers and accountability to keep this alive. I believe by writing the vision down it will help us to run with it!

Riverlife, this year lets get into the adventure of life in Christ! We are not a new church plant, I am not a new pastor and we are now nearing 10 years of our journey together, it is time! My prayer has become "God help me not to fail with Your vision". We must press forward and join in the adventure.

Our focus this year is to offer families an adventure with Christ in the Word, an adventure through leaps of faith, and an adventure built on strong relationships. Let's join together this year and make '08 the breakthrough year we have been praying for. Let me know your thoughts! More on the specifics of the vision to come.....

Let the River flow!
